Pranitha Subhash is an Indian actress who was born on October 17, 1992, in Bengaluru, Karnataka. She is a Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada cinema actress, model, and entrepreneur.
Career
made her acting debut in the Kannada film Porki in 2010, playing the female lead opposite Darshan. She became an instant sensation with her maiden film, receiving plaudits from both film critics and the Kannada public. Despite becoming choosier before accepting any project, she wanted to keep her popularity. The next year, she made her Telugu cinema debut as Badra in Em Pillo Em Pillado. She signed her debut Tamil film, Udhayan, alongside Arulnithi in 2011, in which she played the part of Priya.
She was cast alongside Karthi in the Tamil film Saguni in 2012, which also had a Telugu release. Despite this, the picture went on to become the year’s biggest hit, with 1150 screens throughout the world. In the same year, she acted alongside Duniya Vijay in the Kannada film Bheema Theeradalli, a true-life Naxalite drama. Film critics praised her for her performance as Bheemavva. She received a nomination for the Filmfare Award Kannada for Best Actress for that film.
After appearing in the Tamil film Saguni in 2012, she signed several Kannada films in a year’s time, including Snehitaru, Mr. 420, and Whistle, which was a successful film for her and earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the SIIMA Award. In 2013, she starred in the Telugu film “Attarintiki Daredi,” which became her first financially successful film, grossing over 100 crores worldwide. In addition, this film became the first Telugu film to reach the $100 million mark. In 2015, she was cast as Anuradha in the Tamil film Masss, and she once again wowed audiences with her acting abilities. In fact, she was nominated for the Edison Award for Best Actress, which was a significant boost for a rookie. She participated in a number of Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada films after that, including Dynamite, A Second Hand Lover, Brahmotsavam, and Jaggu Dada, in which she had a cameo role. She recently starred in N.T.R: Kathanayakudu, a Telugu film. She will make her Bollywood debut in Abhishek Dudhaiya’s military drama film Bhuj: The Pride of India, which is set to hit theaters in 2020. She also starred in Ayushmaan Khurana’s “Chan Kitthan” video song.
